Lots to share this week on OpenIDEO! First up the Youth Employment Challenge Winners Announcement. Congrats to the 6 winners and *everyone* who participated in the challenge to helped shaped the conversation from which these ideas arose. Meanwhile the Business Impact Challenge continues to provide insight and inspiration as we explore the topic further before heading into the Concepting phase – which will be all the richer for the groundwork folks are putting in now. Swing by and join the conversation on businesses innovating for world benefit.
Congrats to the MiLES team – which grew out of our Vibrant Cities Challenge – on their OnePrize win this week. "There was widespread enthusiasm among jury members for the project’s focus and dedication to the involvement of multiple stakeholders, to its positive impact on the neighborhood, its bottom-up approach and compelling feasibility. MiLES plans to use the prize money towards the construction of one of their interventions." As always, we're excited to see OpenIDEATORS transforming their ideas into action.
And speaking of action – OpenIDEO's Haiyan Zhang is continuing to prototype her winning Youth Employment Challenge YouthCafe idea – next week with a MeetUp event in New York. If you're 18-25 and interested in gaining soft skills around collaboration and creativity – sign up and get involved!
