Over the course of the Agriculture Innovation Challenge, we'll be featuring highlights of contributions from each of our themed mission areas. This week, we've seen an incredible number of inspirations and thought-starters from our global community. As the Ideas Phase progresses, we would love for you to spread the word and invite organizations working within these focus areas to join the challenge!

Mission 1: Access to Financial Resources

Using Village Savings and Loans –  An initiative to create Village Savings and Loans programs for women farmers that do not have access to proper banking services in rural Sierra Leone.

Mission 2: Connection to Markets

Food Rescue Program – An idea to setup Food Donation programs that will channel surplus and unmarketable crops to aid food insecure communities in Tanzania.

Mission 3: Access to Information

Postharvest Training and Service Center  – An initiative to build postharvest centers with training programs and processing facilities to help small-scale farmers in Uganda reduce food waste.

Mission 4: Storage and Processing

Turn Corn Cobs into Clean Energy – A mission to deliver biomass gasifiers capable of turning agricultural waste into clean energy for off the grid communities in Liberia.

We’re looking forward to seeing your ideas for bringing resilience innovation to urban slum communities. Join the challenge to support communities as they adapt and transform to meet the challenges of climate change!
