In mid-September we asked an important and new question of our global community: How might we identify and celebrate businesses that innovate for world benefit – and inspire other companies to do the same?
In the Inspiration and Concepting phases of our Business Impact Challenge, members of our global community put their heads together to share almost 500 stories and design 95 ideas to identify, celebrate and inspire businesses to innovate for world benefit.
In an open and collaborative process like OpenIDEO, it's fun to go big, broad and far-reaching in our thinking, inspiration and ideas. But sometimes, the topics we tackle and our efforts together – like in our Business Impact Challenge – can benefit from some constraints.
During our Business Impact Challenge Inspiration phase, our global, switched-on community surfaced over 450 stories, insights and examples to help us all learn more about the opportunities for businesses to innovate for world benefit. Now it's time to dive into the ever-collaborative Concepting phase, and to help you get started, we thought we'd share a bit more about our Challenge Themes.
Our Business Impact Challenge Inspiration phase is gaining steam, as community members from around the world add their stories and insights. To round out our learning during this exploratory phase, we caught up with David Cooperrider, Faculty Director at the Fowler Center for Sustainable Value.
